By Abu Ssettumba
The inaugural Taqaddum Media Qur’an Competition, organised by the Muslim Journalists Taqaddum Sacco Ltd, is set for tomorrow, Saturday, August 30, at the Parliament of Uganda. This groundbreaking event has drawn at least 16 registered media personalities from radio, television, print, and digital platforms, with Pearl FM and CBS FM fielding the highest number of contestants. Participants including Shakira Nalugo, Abdul Kimera, and Ibrahim Kigozi will compete for prizes, including a fully sponsored Umrah trip for the overall winner.
The competition, judged by a panel of esteemed Qur’anic experts, is an initiative to promote Islamic knowledge, foster unity among Muslim media practitioners, and inspire spiritual growth within the profession.
