Jumah Prayer Facilities Improved at Makkah, Madinah Mosques
MAKKAH: The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is improving services to accommodate the influx of pilgrims and guests, with a focus on Friday prayers.
The authority aims to ensure a smooth experience for pilgrims performing religious duties on the busiest day of the week at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
The most prolific service provided to worshipers at the mosque on Fridays came in providing spatial guidance to non-Arabic speakers, which benefited 55,728 people as of December 31, 2022.
The Friday sermon is translated into several languages and offered on 2,800 translation devices.
In continuing with the sanitation efforts, authorities provided 2,550 litres of freshener products and 130,000 litres of disinfectants to clean facilities.
Sterilization machines also provided 2,550 litres of hand sanitiser to pilgrims.
Islamic booklets and pamphlets are distributed to worshipers in addition to opening the library at the Grand Mosque in Makkah to the pilgrims.
