The leadership of the Luweero Muslim Community, under the guidance of District Khadhi Sheikh Sulaiman Ssebuliba, has formally submitted a comprehensive five-year development plan to the Super Supreme Mufti, Sheikh Muhamood Galabuzi, seeking his office’s endorsement and support for its implementation.

The delegation presented the draft plan during a meeting at the Supreme Mufti’s office, outlining a strategic roadmap focused on improving livelihoods, health services, education, sports, and other key sectors in the Greater Luweero region.

Sheikh Ssebuliba expressed gratitude to the Supreme Mufti for his continued engagement with the community, specifically acknowledging the representation from his office at the recent swearing-in ceremony of the new Luweero Muslim Community leadership.

He formally requested the Supreme Mufti’s assistance in advancing the development plan and personally grace the official launch ceremony scheduled for November 7, 2025.

Accompanying the delegation was David Lule Muzzangaanda, a planning consultant, who elaborated on the plan’s objectives. Muzzangaanda detailed the intended projects aimed at holistic community development and appealed to the Supreme Mufti’s office for connections to potential partners and links that could support the cause.

In response, the Secretary General in the Office of the Supreme Mufti, Sheikh Twaaha Kezaala Mubiru, advised the delegation to focus on grassroots sensitisation, ensuring the public fully understands the plan’s intentions. He also emphasized the need to build a strong foundation to withstand any potential resistance to their initiatives.

The Super Supreme Mufti commended the Luweero leadership for their consistency and hard work, noting their frequent visits to his office with various developmental projects.
