Addressing the gathering, MSAU President Wasswa Hassan highlighted the importance of faith, unity, and responsible student leadership. He urged Muslim student leaders across the country to serve their communities with integrity, discipline, and dedication, especially during this blessed season.

The dinner was attended by senior members of MSAU, past presidents, patrons, and key guests, including representatives from the Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) and ambassadors from various countries, including Turkey.

Among them was Ms. Nayebare Apophia, representing UNSA, who expressed her appreciation:

“Ramadhan reminds us of the values of humility, compassion, discipline, and generosity. These are the same values that should guide us as student leaders and as a generation preparing to shape the future of our nation,” she said.
“Tonight is not only a moment to break the fast but also a chance to strengthen unity, understanding, and solidarity among students from all backgrounds. May this holy season continue to inspire peace in our hearts and purpose in our leadership,” she added

The Iftar Dinner also served as a platform for networking and strengthening relationships among student leaders, reinforcing the shared responsibility of building a strong and united Muslim student community in Uganda.
