Nandala Mafabi contributes Shs 100million towards Nakaloke mosque construction

Budadiri West Member of Parliament (MP) who also doubles as the Secretary General of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Nathan Nandala-Mafabi has donated Shs 100million towards the construction of Nakaloke Mosque in Mbale City.
Mafabi made the donation after visiting the construction site on the invitation of Salam Charity which is involved in mobilizing funds towards ithe mosque completion.
“I’m impressed with the progress so far made. We have decided to cater for whatever is needed to have this floor completed. We are buying everything needed plus paying engineers so that this unfinished floor is worked on immediately,” Mafabi said.
He also pledged to support the fundraising drive to rally more people to donate towards the project.
“I am now the self appointed chief mobiliser. Starting now, I’m going to reach out to people from different spheres of life soliciting funds for the completion of this house of God,” Mafabi said.
Ismail Walujo Mukankadi, the Nakaloke Centre mosque chairperson revealed that aproximately Shs 1.5billion is needed to complete the project.
The construction of Nakaloke Centre Mosque began in 2019 with small contributions from Muslims within its community. However, the project speed improved after Salam Charity took it over mobilising resources from across the country.
