UMSC gets Deputy Secretary General in charge of planning & development
The UMSC National Management Committee has appointed Arinda Abdu-Razaak to head the office of the Deputy Secretary General in charge of Planning & Development. The appointment follows the directive issued by the UMSC Joint Session during their last sitting, pending approval from the relevant organs of the Council.
Arinda holds a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness Management Studies from Makerere University, a Bachelor’s in Agribusiness Management & Community Development Studies from Bishop Stuart University – Mbarara, and a Post Graduate Diploma in the same discipline from The Centre of Agricultural Capacity Building, Israel.
Sheikh Shaban Ramathan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda, in his remarks urged the newly appointed 2nd Deputy Secretary General to fulfill his obligations as stipulated in the UMSC Constitution and to be visible on the ground. Additionally, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Waiswa, the Deputy Mufti, welcomed Arinda with words of encouragement, expressing the Council’s confidence in his ability to deliver and make a positive impact.
Arinda officially took the oath to commence work, and in his acceptance remarks, he committed himself to harnessing collective intelligence and promoting collaboration with a vibrant team spirit among department heads.
Arinda has previously served as the representative of Kiryandongo Muslim District to the UMSC General Assembly.
