A total of 100 Muslim leaders from Wakiso Muslim District have completed a leadership training programme at Namasuba College of Commerce, with organisers urging them to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice in their communities.
The graduates comprised 50 Imams and 50 Amirats who underwent training aimed at strengthening their leadership skills, improving accountability and equipping them to respond more effectively to the needs of Muslim communities.
The programme focused on modern leadership approaches, community guidance, unity and the role of Muslim leaders in promoting development while upholding Islamic values.
The organisers expressed hope that the training would strengthen Muslim leadership in Wakiso District, with Imams and Amirats taking a more active role in promoting peace, unity, moral guidance and community development.
They urged the graduates to translate the lessons learnt into practical action for the benefit of Muslims and the wider community.
“Leadership is not only about holding a position; it is about serving people, inspiring change, and making a lasting difference,” the organisers said.
